Documentary Cinematographer / Editor Portfolio

As a documentary filmmaker I approach all projects with positive collaborative energy, resourceful creativity and pride in the craft. Every film is a passport into a new perspective and understanding of the world, and I feel lucky and privileged to do this work.

This portfolio highlights my documentary cinematography and editing skills across short-form and feature-length projects focusing on nature, science and youth culture.

Wild Brownstone (2025)

In 2016, a radical school of K-12 students from all margins of Brooklyn, NY are given the power to govern their school according to the basic rules of democracy, and then Donald Trump is elected President of the United States.

Wild Brownstone is a poetically moving and collective coming-of-age portrait of New York City youths as they navigate the chaos of everyday life and future society in a most unusual school year.

Mirai in the Wild (2021 - 2022)

Mirai in the Wild is an original series that follows artist and bonsai professional Ryan Neil as he journeys to the native landscapes of endangered, ancient and significant trees. Embedded in the environment, he processes and understands the elements in the way that the tree does–interpreting and expressing the aesthetic of nature through the art of bonsai.

Emerald Canopies (2020)

There is a place in the Pacific Northwest where miniature redwoods and ancient junipers thrive. A place where emerald canopies are cultivated out of the desire to better understand the natural world, and our place within it, through an intimate connection with the miniaturized tree. Some of these trees were seedlings when Galileo was just beginning to understand our place in the universe, others, the only survivors of forest fires that burned their native homes.

Emerald Canopies is an observational portrait of the creative team and ecosystem behind Mirai– a world-class bonsai garden, horticultural incubator, technical educator, and creator of living art.
