Diana Ecker

Hello! I’m a filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon specializing in non-fiction cinematography, editing, and directing.

My film industry career started in New York City in 2009 as a marketing coordinator for Zeitgeist films, and since 2016 I’ve been a doc shooter, creative producer and occasional editor for Studio Esmé, an independent studio that produces films and multimedia inspired by the connective power of the inner child and collective imagination.

As a freelancer I love to do video content strategy and production with brands and non-profits whose products and services bend toward nature, food or conserving the environment.

My original works tend to observe the absurdity of humanity with an organic and patiently composed cinematic visual aesthetic that balances a sense of humor with beauty (and sometimes a little darkness).

Other sources of inspiration and meaning in my life come from community gardening, trail running, hiking along mountain streams, playing music and wasting time with the people I love.

I’m not as serious as my portrait looks.
